TEACHING NEW MEXICO'S KIDS
PROGRAMMING AND ELECTRONICS

Open Source Kids (OSK) teaches children computer programming and electronics. Our vision is for every primary school student in New Mexico, regardless of location, primary language, or socioeconomic background, to have a basic understanding of computer science and electronics principles and have a working knowledge of a real-world programming language.

Open Source Kids accomplishes this by:
  • providing free curriculum, resources and training to teachers wishing to teach programming;
  • providing instructors, at no cost, for in-school programming lessons;
  • offering free community programs to teach parents and children about the resources and programs offered;
  • offering low-cost after-school and community classes to teach parents and children computer programming and electronics.
