Open Source Kids' (OSK) mission centers around computer-science education.  Our mission is two-fold:
  • teach children
  • train teachers

OSK teaches children computer science through hands-on innovative tools and learning strategies.   Our vision is for every primary school student in New Mexico, regardless of location, primary language, or socioeconomic background, to have a basic understanding of computer science, electronics principles, and real-world programming.  In addition to work in public schools, OSK partners with other community organizations to educate parents and children

OSK supports teachers by providing engaging and classroom-relevant professional development in all things computer science: standards, pedagogy, CS concepts, programming, robotics, electronics, and much more.  OSK also provides low cost curriculum and learning resources to teachers wishing to teach computer science.
